2010 Debut Author Reading Challenge

Kristi over at The Story Siren is hosting the 2010 Debut Author Challenge which I have decided to join. She challenges everyone to read at least 12 books- a simple one a month- but after looking at her posted list, I am going to challenge myself to read 50. I think this challenge is a fantastic one- what better way to spread word about new authors than to promote their books through a challenge devoted to them?

Full details can be found here on Kristi's blog but the basic idea is to read a set number of young adult or middle grade novels, debuted in 2010 and the challenge will run from Jan 1, 2010 to Dec 31, 2010.

There is a link to this post on the left hand side of my blog, corresponding to the button that will link you right to Kristi's blog so you can quickly find this post- I will update my progress on here as I go but my list thus far follows.

If you're doing this challenge too, leave me a comment and a link to your thread so we can help encourage each other and compare reviews!

  6. I am so excited that you're excited to read RIVAL! Unfortunately, it'll have to be part of a 2011 challenge. (I'm hoping you'll have one!) My book now comes out in winter 2011. Darn!
