50 Followers Contest

First off, thank you to all my followers- I truly do appreciate it! Such a great weekend!!!

My contest is going to run for 3 weeks, at least right now, but I want at least 40 entries into it so it might be extending depending on how that goes.

The Prizes:

The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove by Lauren Kate (PB)
The Midnight Twins by Jacquelyn Mitchard (PB)
Possessions by Nancy Holder (ARC- gently used)

If I hit 75 followers, I will be adding in another book and winner. 100 means 2 books and winners, etc. You get the point.

The Winners:

This contest, right now, will have 2 winners- the top winner picks 2 of the 3 books and then second place winner gets the left over book. If I add more books for followers, then 2nd place picks their book after the first place winner- or if I just add in books because I get in a happy mood, they get to pick. If not all books are used in this contest, they will go in future contests.

I am keeping this contest relatively small since it is my first- mostly, it will just depend on how many followers I get but I am planning 2 somewhat bigger contests (bigger prize packs and/or more winners) for 2010.

Once the contest is closed, I will put all the entries into random.org to give me a random list of the names with a corresponding number and my friend over at Books Not Bombs will be picking a number out of that list for first place, then for second, etc so ultimately, she picks the winner.

**UPDATE 11/19 -- Okay I know that I have hit almost 100 followers now but that is mostly due to the people entering my Fallen contest with only a few extra entries into this one, so I don't want to add another winner and book into this one just yet (I hadn't planned to have the other contest when I set this one =P ). If I get to 30 entries, I will and the book added will likely be my ARC of Fallen but if I don't hit 30, I will still close the contest as planned on the 29th and just pull from the people that did enter- and thank you to those who did, I really appreciate it.**

How to Enter:

Leave me a comment to tell me you want to enter- an email is not required, as long as you either come back to check for the winner at the close of the contest or if I can find your email or contact via your own blog. I understand about the spamming and junk mail you get from leaving your email on things like this so to eliminate it, I am not going to require it. At the close of the contest, the winners will have 48 hours to get in touch with me.

Extra entries (US Only- International if you are willing to pay shipping or have it shipped to a US address):

+3 for old followers- you are the reasons this contest is happening

+1 for new followers- thank you thank thank you

+2 if you follow Books Not Bombs, old or new- I know several of my followers are from the contest over at A Life Bound by Books and I am passing on the generosity to this blogger

+2 for promoting my blog- sidebar, tweet, etc- max of 2 (link required)

+4 for an actual blog post (link required)

+3 if you add me to your blog roll

+1 if you tell me what your all time favorite book is and why because face it, there are great books out there that are older that go more unnoticed now but I would still love to find out about them

That is a total of 21 entries per person so have at it! I would prefer that everything is left in one comment post just because that is easier but if you go back and add something, make sure to use the same log in and also leave a note in the comment that you are adding entries to a previous post.

That's it and thanks again guys!

This contest will end Sunday, November 29

and my favorite books.. oh dear.. there are too many im afraid... haa. ok so currently, my favorite book is either "The Book Theif" by Markus Zusak or "I am the Messenger" which is also by Zusak. I think both of these stories are incredible, and the writing style is unique. I feel like I am actually having someone read the story to me, as apposed to reading, because the way Zusak writes, it is written more the way people talk, rather than using proper grammer techniques. Also, both novels made me want to cry hysterically at the end.
All of the characters are brilliant, and I felt like I knew them. They were more life like and realistic than some characters are. :) I love both of these books.

+1 the Neverending Story is my favorite book of all time. Why is hard to say. It's just amazing. The imagery is beautiful and wonderful and fantastic and other things that it would continue to be redundant to say. The story is wildly imaginative and beautiful.
