Character Interview + Contest: Scout from Brooklyn, Burning

I've cornered another character to interrogate... I mean, interview. Today's guest, is Scout from Steve Brezenoff's Brooklyn, Burning. And because it's release day, and Kid and Scout are now officially out in the world, we've brought you guys a chance to win a signed copy of the book. Yep. Awesomeness.

What was your first impression of Kid?

Kid was sad and distant.

Which do you love most? Playing guitar or singing? Why?

Singing. Definitely singing. A guitar is just another shield—another mask I can put on, which is nice sometimes, but my voice is me, up and down and inside out. That’s Scout, take it or leave it.

What is your favorite memory from this summer?

I’m not sure I can pick one. I feel in love. The whole thing is golden.

How old were you when you had you first kiss? What was it like?

I was four. I kissed a boy named Gordon. I think his parents have it on video, too. That answer is a cheat, obviously. Tough!

What kind of cake would you describe yourself as?

Pan!

Thank you, Scout, for stopping in and congrats, Steve, on another release!

Now for your chance to win a signed copy of Brooklyn, Burning, just fill out THIS form.

Contest is US/Can only and ends September 8.

No entries will be accepted through the comments, but your thoughts are more than welcome.
