Author Interview + Contest: Mary Lindsey

 

Today I have Mary Lindsey, author of the fantastic upcoming book Shattered Souls. Let me tell you, I really do love this one, and I rather adore Mary, so this just seems like a perfect fit! Proof to why is that she was kind enough to answer my crazy interview questions, and took them in stride.

Describe Linzi, Alden and Zak in three words each.

Lenzi: independent, intelligent, wounded


Alden: loyal, focused, plans ahead


Zak: sensitive, musical, lives in the moment


What is your favorite line from Shattered Souls?

Sometimes pain is good. It lets you know you're alive.


If you found Narnia in your closet, what would you do?

Grab my kids and go on an adventure... That, or check myself into the hospital.


You're a dinosaur for a day! What kind are you?

Pterodactyl, I've always wanted to fly!


If you were lost like Nemo, what would be your greatest obstacle in returning home?

Getting someone in my family to answer their cell phone, so I an tell them to come get me.


What form of transportation is your greatest nemesis?

Walking. I can trip over my own feet.


What kind of donut would you describe yourself as?

How about a kolache instead? You have to spend some time and actually bite into it in order to know what's really inside.


Aside from Voldemort, which Death Eater would you most like to fight?
It depends on what type of "fight" we're talking about. A one-on-one wrestling match with Draco Malfoy holds great appeal for me. *wink* If we're talking about a duel to the death, then, Bellatrix Lestrange.



For the record, I totally would be a velociraptor, just so I can do that creepy tap my ridiculously long claw on the floor thing. But thank you, Mary, for those answers! And I hope to one day see you in a duel with Bellatrix Lestrange...
