Book Forum Sundays

It's Sunday again... which means I advertise for my forum. This week's books are The Secret Year by Jennifer Hubbard, Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers and Dreamland by Sarah Dessen. Read any of these? Come join us and discuss these books- particularly given what heavy topics all 3 are about (not intentional for all to hit on the same week...).

Have questions for Jennifer Hubbard? Sign up and ask them on the boards dedicated to a live interview with her. Jennifer will hop on a few times the 19th and 20th to answer whatever questions are left in this section.

2010 Debut Author Title:

The Secret Year by Jennifer Hubbard: Colt and Julia were secretly together for an entire year, and no one--not even Julia's boyfriend--knew. They had nothing in common, with Julia in her country club world on Black Mountain and Colt from down on the flats, but it never mattered. Until Julia dies in a car accident, and Colt learns the price of secrecy.

2009/2010 Release Title:

Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers: Frozen out of her clique after vicious rumors circulate, Regina Afton takes solace in the company of Michael Hayden, a misfit whom she herself used to bully. Friendship doesn't come easily for these onetime enemies, and as Regina works hard to make amends for her past, she realizes Michael could be "more" than just a friend.

Miscellaneous/Older Title:

Dreamland by Sarah Dessen: Rogerson Biscoe, with his green eyes and dark curly hair, is absolutely seductive. Before long, 16-year-old Caitlin finds herself under his spell. And when he starts to abuse her, she finds she's in too deep to get herself out.
